Jonathan S. Amass

Jonathan Amass is a twenty-four year NYPD veteran who retired in the rank of Lieutenant Commander of Detectives. He was a founding member of the NYPD Force Investigation Division where he served for five years. Jonathan was tasked with applying his experience as an NYPD Firearms Instructor when investigating officer involved shootings and deaths related to police activity in order to identify tactical concerns, best practices, and to aid in developing and improving department training.

John J. Sprague

John Sprague is a twenty-five year NYPD veteran executive who retired in the rank of Deputy Chief. As a Commanding Officer for ten years, John led the 62nd, 66th, and 120th Precincts as well as the Detective Borough Staten Island where he supervised a full range of criminal investigations including homicides. John was the first Commanding Officer of the NYPD Force Investigation Division where he implemented investigative protocols as well as digital scanning technologies so that scenes of officer involved shootings and deaths related to police activity were recreated during the course of those critical investigations.
